Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music

Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music (FFOTM) sponsors an open jam every Wednesday for musicians who enjoy playing in the bluegrass style. The event begins with a practice session from 11 am to noon (for those who want to brush up on specific tunes), followed by the main jam from noon to 1 pm. The jamming happens in downtown Flagstaff at Wheeler Park during the summer. During the winter, we meet at the Flagstaff Mall next to the fireplace. Check our meet up site for the latest location information, updated weekly. Jams are open to the public and the musical focus is primarily bluegrass, but other forms of folk music are welcome. Musicians must have knowledge of basic chords on their instrument and be able to keep a steady beat. We also welcome folks who want to come and listen.
